We read everything. We don't always reply, but if you ask a clear question we'll usually get back to you within 2-3 business days.
What to write about
Bug report
Calculator wrong, page broken, embed misbehaving on your site? Tell us what calculator, what input, what you expected, what you saw. Screenshots help.
Feature request
Need a calculator we don't have, a region we don't price, a brand we don't catalog, or a code reference we missed? We add what gets requested.
Embed licensing or partnership
Want the embed at higher rate limits, white-label, or co-branded? Building a contractor SaaS that wants DeckMath calcs inside it? Hit us up.
Just saying hi
Built a deck using DeckMath? Found a bug we already fixed? Want to argue about the 4-inch sphere rule? Read everything, reply to most.
Before emailing about a bug
- Try reset. Click the "Reset" button on the inputs panel — sometimes a stale localStorage state from an older calc version lingers.
- Try a different browser. If it works in Chrome but not Safari (or vice versa), tell us — that narrows it down.
- Include the share link. Click "Copy link" in the action bar — that URL has all your inputs encoded, so we can reproduce exactly what you saw.
For contractors and businesses
If you're a deck contractor, a railing manufacturer, a decking-brand marketing team, or a contractor-SaaS founder — and you want to embed DeckMath calculators in your product, integrate them with your CRM, white-label them, or co-brand them — we're open. Send a paragraph about what you're building, and we'll either reply with terms or with a referral to a better-fit partner.
What we don't do
- We don't recommend specific contractors. Use Trex Pro Platinum or your local AHJ for vetted lists.
- We don't engineer your specific deck. If your design is non-prescriptive (cantilever, irregular load path, multi-tier above 8 ft), hire a licensed P.E.
- We don't answer permit-shopping questions. Call your local building department. Each AHJ is different.
